About Me

“A little bit about my life”

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior
Most people who know me personally or as a blogger, also know I’m somewhat of a radical for Jesus Christ and I make no apology for that. I’m also a wife, mother, and grandmother
My husband and I have 6 adult children between us and 12.5 grandkids
He is the love of my life, we’ve been married 15 years.
My husband and I have lived in Wisconsin, Phoenix, AZ, Atlanta, Georgia, Indiana, and Chicago. I am the middle sister of 3, my younger sister passed away January 8, 2014.

I am a people person, my husband is the opposite
Helping others is a natural labor of love
Ministering to others is not only a passion but a calling

After much contemplation, I recently decided to pursue a degree in ministry, at Ohio Christian University. I prayed hard before finalizing my decision because I wanted to make sure I was pursuing a degree for the right reasons. For instance, according to God’s Word, nobody needs a degree to get to heaven or receive His blessings. Additionally, God is not a respecter of person’s, and all the education in the world won’t empower you to lead souls to Christ, only God can do that.

So, what’s a Christian to do if he or she is doing everything but leading by example? How do you explain to a person in pain that you have no idea how to meet him or her where they are? What I did was ask God to not only give me direction but to humble me as well so I could use my education to serve Him. Using my education to teach others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, minister to the sick and exhibit compassion is my number one goal. It’s been almost a year since I started school and I have struggled to keep my two blogs supplied with current posts because excelling in my classes takes a lot.

“I have an idea, though.”
Since my courses require heavy writing I am going to post from content I create for class assignments. I am taking my readers with me on my academic journey. I have learned so much about worldviews, scripture interpretation, morality, ethics and the like that I would be remiss not to share my knowledge with all of you. I have no doubt in my mind, that somebody out there still needs a word from me, encouragement, a ray of hope, compassion and the God’s love. However, even in academia, on paper, I am still inclined to go where most religious leaders won’t go. In other words, it is my promise to highlight issues that plague people most.

Furthering my education at this stage in my life was major; I had to pray for guidance every step of the way.  I wanted to be sure that I was pursuing a college degree for the right reasons, which in my case, and first and foremost is to glorify God. According to God’s Word, nobody needs a degree to get to heaven or receive His blessings. Additionally, God is not a respecter of person’s, and all the education in the world won’t guarantee that anybody can lead souls to Christ. So, what’s a Christian to do? What I did was ask God to show me favor, use me and the education I acquire, to spread his Word and help others less fortunate than me. Let’s get this party started.
