“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the father is not in him. For everything in the world, the Cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does-comes not from the father but from the world.” (1 John 2: 15-17)

I wonder if Jesus ever thinks “why is it so hard for my Father’s children to love me?”

Loving God and not the world should be easier said than done, “but God’s knows we have made this not the case.” Did you know that the world turns on non-believers too? Well, it does. If you do not believe me look around. How many non-Christians do you think are disenchanted with the world and what Satan who they think does not exist offered them in exchange for eternal life. That is all he wants, everybody else’s gift of salvation and eternal life.

The world via Satan produces and presents many different flavors of toxic eye candy, Seemingly, most are irresistible to a distinct majority even though adults know “too many sweets cause decay.” Somebody said the world is a ghetto, it can also describe as a large cavity on many levels. Nobody wants to carry the only brush designed to eradicate decomposition. As it may be, the general population seems to have come to accept systemic corrosion and eventual demonic demise.

I say that because hypocrisy is all the rage among far too many so-called believers. It’s spirit runs “amuck” between the church and world. Perhaps the godly are confused about what it means to “love God and not the world?” That would certainly explain how the contemporary church lost its way?

Is it possible to love God and not love His people?

Christians go there all the time “it’s impossible to love God yet hate your brother?”

But then they come back ignoring, toying and tampering with scripture. Let’s face it, running with Satan is the easiest workout in the world; but trying to walk with Jesus while heading down that path can only lead to a collision. Satan loves the world because he can sell people on every bad thing it has to offer. He knows how to make dirt look clean, ugly come off as pretty and a crooked path look straight.

Now do you see why it is impossible to love God and the world?

The world and its desires eventually pass away but the man who does the will of God lives forever…Do you believe that?

We can live just fine without Satan in our lives but not without God controlling where Satan lives….
